Wow, time is flying, we are now on the last and 4th Part of the Granny’s Flower Garden Blanket Crochet Along. This free Crochet Along is concluding now and I will determine the winner of the giveaway soon. I can’t wait to see all of your final blanket creations. Keep sharing them! I love seeing them.
Remember that in order to make sure everyone will have the best experience possible, I decided to create a video tutorial for every part of the blanket. That includes the part where I show you how to block the squares which are acrylic yarn.
Please click HERE to check out the Main Post about this Crochet Along!
Also I told you I was in contact with Chetnanigans who decided to sponsor a giveaway for this Crochet Along. The winning price is a Chetnanigans Hook Organizer. I wrote a very detailed review about a couple of their organizers HERE.
How to win a Chetnanigans Organizer
In order to win a Chetnanigans organizer (shown on the left above) you must participate and share your WIPS and final image in my Facebook group. Furthermore, you also must also add the pattern to your Ravelry Favorites list as well as into your queue and post your pictures there. Also, you will need to make a blanket using this pattern of at least 30 squares. It can be bigger if you like, but does not need to be to quality. Once the Crochet Along is over, I will determine by random who wins the organizer.
Be sure to use the hashtag #GrannysFlowerGardenBlanketCAL on social media, so I can follow along on your journey to create this awesome blanket.

However, if you do not want to wait for all the parts to be released you can easily purchase the pdf for this pattern with all the parts included in one file.
In addition, I created a downloadable pdf for you all, that has all the pictures as references added to the back of the pattern. So you can choose whether you want to print them or not. That can save you a lot of ink in the long run.

Instructions:
The Video Tutorial for Part 4 can be found below. It shows every step of the sewing part for this Pattern.
Now block all the squares using a blocking board such as Chetnanigans BlockAll 812 board and a steamer. I have a very detailed tutorial on how to exactly do this step HERE. It is really important to block your squares as my picture below demonstrates it. The left shows unblocked squares and the right shows blocked squares to 8×8 inches.
Be sure to see the detailed tutorial where I show you how to exactly block any acrylic yarn, in this case for granny squares specifically.
Still using the Kelly Green yarn, start sewing all the squares together according to the diagram below. When you sew the squares together, make sure you go into and out of a V of the last round of stitches. That way you will hide the sewing stitch. Go from one of the squares to the next like a zig zag line (like you would for a mattress stitch). See the pictures in the back of the pattern for a better understanding.
After you finished sewing them all together, use the Sunflower yarn and crochet 1 dc in each st all around, making sure to add 2 dc, ch 1 and 2 dc in each corner.
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
