Free Apache Tears Crochet Fingerless Mitten Pattern – Day 22 of the Advent Calendar MCAL 2024

This crochet fingerless mitten design features a striking stitch pattern and a festive color scheme that will have you feeling holly and jolly!
It’s day 22 of the Advent Calendar Mystery Crochet Along, the fun holiday event where I release one stitch tutorial on all odd days and one free pattern on all even days from December 1st until Christmas Eve. Are you ready for today’s surprise?
If you were here yesterday, then you learned all about the apache tears stitch and its unique texture. Today we’re putting that stitch into action to create easy fingerless gloves that are the epitome of coziness! This stitch really stands out when made with multiple colors and it’s fabulously festive in red, green, and white.
The impressive texture of this stitch pattern might look difficult to create, but it’s actually fairly easy to do using just single and treble crochet stitches. If you know these two basic stitches and you know your front loop from your back loop, then you’re on the right track!
Crocheting fingerless mittens is one of my favorite projects, because it is so straightforward. This is a really easy crochet fingerless mitten design that has you working in basic back and forth rows to create a square. One simple seam later and you’re ready to show off your pair of fingerless gloves.
So let’s get started!
