The included video tutorial makes it extra easy — perfect for gifts, markets, or festive decor.
There’s something magical about handmade ornaments, especially when they bring a pop of classic holiday color to your tree. This striped crochet ornament is a fun, easy, and festive project that even beginners can master! With just red and white cotton yarn, you can create a timeless design that reminds everyone of candy canes and cozy Christmas mornings.
This pattern was originally part of a Mystery Crochet Alongs (MCAL) (one of three surprise designs – the other ornaments are the Icicle Spike Ornament and Lacy Bell Ornament) and became an instant favorite because of its simplicity and charm. The flat plastic bauble insert gives it the perfect round shape without needing to stuff or block it — a clever trick that makes your finished piece look store-bought yet totally handmade.

Easy Christmas Crochet Ornament Pattern
Using only single crochet stitches and a 4 mm hook, this ornament works up quickly, making it perfect for last-minute gifts or craft fairs. You can easily switch up the colors to match any theme — think gold and white for elegance, or green and red for classic Christmas vibes.
