These heart eyes emoji crochet earmuffs will warm ears and hearts, spreading love wherever you go. Crocheters of all skill levels can create this fun and cute winter accessory pattern.
It’s day 16 of this year’s Advent Calendar Mystery Crochet Along (MCAL). Hopefully, you have already found lots of inspiration for your holiday crocheting. But if you still need more gift ideas, I’ve got you covered. Each day, from December 1st through December 24th, I’ll publish one of 24 easy crochet patterns for last-minute Christmas gifts right here on my blog. You never know which pattern I will post. So make sure to check my recent posts and visit every day to find all of the free crochet patterns.
You will adore today’s pattern, a pair of heart eyes emoji crochet ear muffs. 😍 They’re perfect for older kids, teens, or adults who wear their hearts on their sleeves. Make them as an expression of love and affection. You could give them for Christmas or even Valentine’s Day (it will be here before you know it). If you like, you could even make the crochet emojis on their own without the headband and use them as small stuffed toys or home decoration.
These fun earmuffs feature traditional round faces in yellow. You’ll then add embellishments of heart-shaped eyes and a wide grin to form a smiling face. It’s a quick and easy pattern with minimal sewing required. And as with every pattern in this MCAL, I’ve included a full video tutorial to help you through the pattern.
For the earmuffs shown here, I used Premier Just Yarn Worsted, an acrylic medium weight yarn that’s super affordable, at just $7 for a 400g skein! But the heart eyes and mouth appliques that make up the emoji’s face take very little yarn. You could easily make those from equivalent yarns you might have in your stash.
Are you ready to make these happy face earmuffs?
