The Fingerless Gloves with Heart is a free crochet pattern. The pattern uses a fun C2C stitch and a heart decal to tie it all together for Valentine’s Day.
Some say it’s wrong to wear your heart on your sleeve. Maybe they think people take advantage of one’s good intentions. Or maybe they fear that others will use those open feelings to put one down. However, so much good can come of it, don’t you agree? Think of how the world would be if everyone tried to tune into another’s feelings more often, or tried to understand their situations. There would be more empathy, more sympathy. If you were to ask me, I’d say we would all feel more appreciated.
Well, maybe you can’t literally wear your heart on your sleeve, but now you can wear it on your hands! Or show someone you care by making this as a lovely Valentine’s Day gift.
This pattern is so cute and perfect for pretty much anyone. I used Premier Deborah Norville Everyday yarn, but you could use any other yarn, just be aware you may have to use a smaller or larger hook (depending on which yarn you pick), but if you use worsted weighted yarn you would need to change hook sizes and should be fine. Aren’t these gloves cute? 🙂
MAIN VALENTINE’S CAL POST is HERE!!!
I really hope you are enjoying this Valentine’s CAL so far. There will be many more CAL’s to come. And this one is close to my heart as this is my first CAL that I am hosting. Please let me know what you think?
You will need:
- 5.0mm hook
- Premier Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn in the color toasted marshmallow
- scissors and yarn needle
Instructions
Make 2 of everything below.
This pattern uses the C2C stitch (Corner to corner) by using dc’s. If you have never done a C2C I highly recommend you watch the video tutorial below.
Using 1 color and dc, make a C2C square of 9×9 squares/tiles.
Fasten off, leaving long yarn tail, fold the square in half and sew the side together leaving an opening for the thumb as the picture shows (2 squares sewn together, 2 squares left alone (where my thumb is) and the last squares sewn together).
Sew a mini heart onto the fingerless gloves. The small heart can be made by following this small heart pattern from the Small Heart Keychain pattern. Or you can leave it as is.
UPDATE! I recently created a complete tutorial (pictures and a better video), so if the one below is not good enough for you, please click HERE!
