This free crochet pattern is called the Romantic Crochet Wrap. Although you can make this pattern easily into a crochet shawl or scarf, I always wanted to have a handmade romantic wrap that I can use when going out with my hubby on date nights.
This Romantic Crochet Wrap is made out of Touch of Alpaca Yarn from Lion Brand who sponsored this free crochet pattern. You can also BUY the PATTERN AS A KIT from Lion Brand . You will get the yarn and the pattern all in one.
This pattern not only uses the Touch of Alpaca yarn which has incredible brilliant colors and a very fluffy texture, it also uses a modified version of the fantail stitch. The fantail stitch is made up of fans of double crochets that are placed into chain spaces of usually half double crochets. In the modified version of this stitch, I used double crochet stitches instead because I wanted the Romantic Crochet Wrap to be a bit more lacy and airy.
As you can see in my pictures, you can wear this Romantic Wrap in different ways. Whether you just wrap it around you like a scarf or pin it up with a very stylish pin, this wrap will look and make you feel amazing. In fact, I bought this pin that looks like a yarn ball with a pin needle specific for this wrap as I thought it would brilliant. And it does not disappoint. I love to wear the Romantic Crochet Wrap using this pin.
But when I go out with my hubby and dance through the night, I might actually just throw the Romantic Wrap over my shoulders and cuddle up in them to make myself feel cozy. The Touch of Alpaca yarn from Lion Brand really does bring out that feeling. It is the perfect yarn for a wrap like this.
To make it easier to understand, I also included a summary and tutorial video for this pattern. You can find it towards the end of the pattern. That should help clear up any confusion in case they arise.
