Linked Crochet Tutorial

If you are new to the world of linked crochet, this is a great starter pattern for you. You are working in simple turning rows with no increases and no decreases. Additionally, you are only working with one stitch – the linked half double crochet stitch – the whole time.

Linked crochet is truly quite simple. All of the basic stitches that you already know are the same in linked crochet – the only difference is where you will insert your hook. Otherwise, the stitch is still made the same way you know it.

Here is a really great video tutorial to get you started. Or maybe you’ve done linked crochet in the past but you are feeling a little rusty. This video tutorial will be a great refresher for you.

Because this is such a simple crochet pattern, you can very easily adjust the size to fit your needs. Need something small? Start with a shorter starting chain. Or maybe you want something bigger. Then you would start with a longer starting chain.

I don’t know about you, but there’s something simply delightful about having practical, personalized items in our everyday life. Take the twisted crochet cup cozy, for instance. You can tailor it to snuggly fit your slim travel coffee mug or maybe expand it to suit your oversized hot cocoa cup. The possibilities are indeed as broad as your imagination.

This isn’t just about making your cups and mugs look pretty – which they absolutely will – but also about adding a touch of warmth and comfort to your daily routine. Trust me, once you’ve enjoyed a hot drink without burning your hands or quickly losing its warmth, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without these crochet cup cozies.
