This is a free crochet pattern for a Celtic Weave Filet Crochet Shawl. This pattern uses Shine Sport yarn from WeCrochet.
I was getting ready for a date night with my hubby this past weekend. I had on my favorite dress, my makeup was all done and I was wearing my favorite earrings. Yet, I felt like I was missing something.
“I know, I’ll wear my crochet shawl!” NOW my outfit was complete!
This is just one of many reasons I love making and wearing crochet shawls. They can complete ANY outfit. Crochet shawls also provide that extra bit of warmth you might need on a chilly evening.
I am absolutely in love with the “Cosmopolitan” color of WeCrochet’s Shine Sport yarn and knew I wanted to use it for something special. My hubby’s Irish heritage inspired me to create this Celtic Weave Filet Crochet Shawl Pattern. Consequently, the bright pink color of this yarn is perfect for making the filet crochet design pop.

Notes:
Follow the graph below.
For the first repeat, crochet until row 43, then repeat rows 5-43 one time and then rows 5-45 one time. If you want to make the filet crochet shawl longer, repeat rows 5-43 more than 1 time before crocheting rows 5-46.
I wrote the pattern a bit more compressed to make it easier to read. This pattern is made with 3 DC Filet Crochet. Each row starts with 1 ATC or Ch 3 and counts as a stitch! This stitch is not mentioned below but needs to be crocheted!
O = ch 1, sk 1, 1 dc
X = 1 dc in the next 2 sts
