The book “Crochet Cute Critters” by Sarah Zimmerman of Repeat Crafter Me has the most amazing amigurumi crochet patterns which are easy to follow. This article provides a review with video and a giveaway of the book.
How often have you tried crocheting amigurumi? You either love it and are great at it or you tried and may have given up. As much as I love amigurumi, I always had trouble with creating a cute face on the stuffed animals.
But this book finally taught me everything in regards to the details. The book provides more than just 26 crochet patterns.
It has several detailed tutorial sections that will help you create any of these amazingly cute amigurumi perfectly. All patterns are super cute and something every child or stuffed animal lover will enjoy.
When I first started to crochet, I found Sarah on her blog Repeat Crafter Me. From the beginning on I was in awe of her patterns and her personality. I loved everything she created and looked up to her ever since.
I’m not surprised how quickly she grew her blog and social media following. She has the cutest patterns that are all just so easy to crochet.
Below you can see a snapshot of her showing off all her amigurumis that are in the book “Crochet Cute Critters”.
Details of the Book “Crochet Cute Critters”
Let’s take a bit closer look at all the 26 amigurumi crochet patterns she has in her book. For every letter in the alphabet, she has one animal that you can create using her crochet pattern. From Alex, the alligator, to Zina, the zebra you have them all.
But before you get started on any of the patterns, I highly suggest you check out parts 1 and 2 first.
Part 1 explains everything you need in order to get started on crochet the most basic crochet stitches, which hook and yarn to use and so much more needed to crochet cute critters into amigurumis.
Part 2 teaches you how to finish any of the projects. Amigurumis are often made in parts as you can see below. Part 2 teaches you how to actually finish the final stitches and then sew them together to make the cute critters into crocheted stuffed animals.
Once you read through parts 1 and 2, you are finally ready to start on part 3 of the book where all the patterns are listed from A to Z.
The crochet patterns are all written very well and easy to understand and provide pictures showing you how the cute crochet critters look like in the end. What I love a lot about these patterns is that the font is larger and easy to read.
The book is small and light enough to be carried anywhere without having to worry about straining your back or filling up your work-in-progress bags.
I highly recommend you get this book. It is the perfect book for any amigurumi lover or beginner of this amazing craft.
