How to Use a Crochet Bowl Cozy

“Hot hot hot!” he complained. It drew my attention to him.

“No, love. You have to use the crochet soup bowl cozy. Don’t just pick it up with your hands.”

He glanced at the crochet bowl cozy skeptically. Then gingerly lifting his bowl up, he managed to place the bowl in its center. Of course, with a few more complaints about the temperature.

Picking up the soup bowl in the crochet cozy, a wide smile spread across his face.

“Take that hot soup!” I rolled my eyes.

If you enjoy eating your soups or other hot bowl dishes on the sofa while watching TV, try this crochet bowl cozy.

With this cozy, you won’t have to worry about burning your hands or legs again!

    Easy Crochet Bowl Cozy Pattern

I am pretty sure this easy crochet bowl cozy pattern will be very popular this season. Especially during the wintry seasons when the craft fairs are in full swing.

They are very easy to make and can be made quickly. If you are selling at a craft fair, be sure to have some hot chili there to demonstrate that the crochet bowl cozy will be a protector.

    Crochet Bowl Cozy Tutorial

This crochet bowl cozy pattern is designed such that it can fit multiple-sized bowls.

Having used cotton yarn, it stretches out a bit and allows for different-sized bowls to fit in it.

In the near future, I will create a pattern for larger and also very tiny bowls. But in the meantime, this bowl cozy fits bowls that are about 5 – 7 inches in diameter.

The entire free pattern tutorial uses only single crochet stitches and chains. Therefore, this pattern is perfect for any level of crochet expertise.

Even if you just learned how to crochet a single crochet and know how to increase, you will be able to make this beginner-friendly bowl cozy pattern.

Be careful about the cotton though. I do not recommend adding the crochet cozy to the microwave.

I can not guarantee that it will not burn in the microwave. Please always check with the company of the yarn you want to use whether they are microwavable and safe to use.

I will not take responsibility for any burns, pain, damages etc. as I just created the pattern for a crochet cotton bowl cozy.

Larger version of this Cotton Bowl Cozy

This cotton crochet bowl is cozy, super popular, and still a trending pattern, which fits bowls around 5.5. inches now has a new modified version.

A larger version of this pattern was requested for the last 2 years. Now it’s finally available.

Get the Large Cotton Bowl Cozy which fits bowls 7.5 inches here. But if you prefer the original cotton bowl cozy then scroll down for the full free pattern and video tutorial.
