I was very lucky when Kara, the crochet designer of Petals to Picots, allowed me to create a review of her awesome new Crochet Project Planner. I was so delighted and surprised when she emailed me the planner. I was not surprised she emailed, but the planner was beyond my expectations. Seriously. Be sure to read until the end to receive a special discount code to get your own planner and to enter the giveaway!
The planner comes as a zip file that you open and then see 6 files, one of which is the entire planner in 51 pages. She split the planner into 5 separate parts as well to allow you to print out as many of certain pages as you which without having to print out the entire planner every time you need more pages.
Looking through the entire Crochet Project Planner, it truly comes with everything a crocheter needs when crocheting or designing a project. Although I have my own little system of how I create crochet projects and write and draw them out as I go, I believe hers is much better than I could have ever created or made my own version better.
So let me now tell you what you will be able to find in this Crochet Project Planner which is not only for beginner to advanced designers but also for crochet makers who need to keep their projects, yarn and references organized and handy.
What will you find in the Crochet Project Planner?
First, it is laid out just like a book where you have a table of contents on the second page. She has not filled out that part because you can rearrange the pages the way they will make your life easier. Perfect! Also, it allows you to print and add more pages of a certain section.
Next, you will be able to find lots of reference pages, from different yarn weights, to different fibers, hook sizes, abbreviations and conversions and what certain stitches look like in a diagram. Furthermore, you can write all your yarn stash in here and keep it organized that way so you will always know what you have or do not have. Furthermore, you will get tables with all the dimensions or sizes of typical blankets, hats, scarves etc and how much yarn you approximately will need to create one of them. Those tables are so handy.
After that, you will see sections where you can note all your projects, plus add sketches, hook sizes and gauge so you can keep track of everything. And of course, it comes with many additional diagrams and graph paper that allow you to create your own wonderful projects.
And finally, you will get printables for your finished projects to add onto. These cute Handmade with love tags are so adorably designed and sure will make anyone happy when receiving your project with them.
The best part of the Crochet Project Planner is that you can print it out any way you like it. I actually prefer to have small little booklets to keep all my information in. So I printed the planner as a booklet and added staples to the sides. Of course, you can also print in letter size and add it to a folder where you can always add more pages of certain sections if you run out of space.
I truly believe this Crochet Project Planner will make every crocheter happy and their life easier. As Kara loves my readers as much as I do, she provided me with a Coupon code for you to use if you want to get her planner 25% off (use the code NHC25). And to add a cherry on top all of this awesomeness, she also allowed me to create a giveaway for a lucky winner to receive the planner for free.
