Blend yarn makes yarn unique. Upcycle Alpaca Blend yarn is recycled yarn from old yarn to a new better version. This review focuses on the best Alpaca blended yarn mentioned in the Crafty Crochet Review Show.
Yarn can get old. It might smell, fall apart or you just don’t like it anymore. When that happens you might feel the urge to throw it out, donate it or gift it to a friend. Well, WeCrochet came up with an amazing way to reuse old yarn by recycling it. They call it Upcycled yarn which is blended yarn from different sources to make brand new yarn.
In this review I would like to focus on the Alpaca Blend Yarn which was upcycled from 50% alpaca yarn, 30% mulberry silk and 20% tencel yarn (similar to wool). This yarn is surely super soft and silky. And I’m typically not a fan of alpaca yarn as the fuzz tickles my nose and makes my allergies worse. But this yarn is not bad in terms of alpaca fuzz flying around when crocheting.
This yarn is s-twisted yarn and comes in hanks which you will need to wind with a yarn winder and swift. But it is so worth it. I already made crochet jewelry with this yarn and see myself making garments as well.
Alpaca Blend Yarn has an amazing drape and works up very nicely. The colors are also very bold and beautiful. This yarn is simply stunning.
To make it easier I created a complete video review about this amazing Alpaca blended yarn – through the Crafty Crochet Review Show which is held every Friday at 12pm, PST on Youtube. You can sign up here for reminder emails.
