Create a stunning crochet flower blanket with this free pattern! This circular blanket features a rose border that bundles up into a beautiful bouquet — perfect for gifts or home decor.
If you’re looking for a crochet project that’s both stunning and surprisingly simple to make, you’re in for a treat!
This free crochet pattern creates a circular blanket with a charming surprise — a delicate rose border that transforms the whole piece into a blooming bouquet when bundled up.
It’s the perfect mix of cozy and romantic, whether you’re making it for a baby shower gift, a decorative throw, or a heartfelt handmade present for someone special.

A Cozy Circular Crochet Throw…
The blanket is worked from the center out, using mostly double crochet stitches to create a smooth, meditative rhythm that flows quickly as you go.
That makes this an ideal project if you’re looking for something that looks impressive but doesn’t take ages to finish.
You’ll build the circular base first, gradually expanding with rounds of double crochet before finishing it off with a lovely flourish: three-dimensional roses worked right into the border.
Don’t worry — if you’ve never crocheted roses before, the pattern walks you through it step by step. The rose motifs might look fancy, but they’re surprisingly approachable even for adventurous beginners. If you get stuck, just watch the video!
…That turns into a Beautiful Crochet Bouquet
One of the most delightful things about this pattern is how it transforms when you fold it up. Gather it loosely, and suddenly your soft, circular blanket looks like a bouquet of blooming roses.
It’s a detail that always gets compliments and makes this project a showstopper at baby showers, weddings, or even just on your living room couch.
And because you can mix and match the petal colors or keep it all one hue, there’s plenty of room to add your own personal flair.

White Blanket
Use stitch markers as it’s continuous rounds
R1: MR, ch 1, 12 dc
R2: 2 dc per st (24 sts)
R3: (1 dc, 2 dc) 12 times (36 sts)
R4: (1 dc in 2 sts, 2 dc) 12 times (48 sts)
R5: (1 dc in 3 sts, 2 dc) 12 times (60 sts)
Continue the pattern as mentioned above but increase the PINK NUMBER BY 1 each round until Round 39
R40: (1 dc in 38 sts, 2 dc) 12 times (480 sts)

Now switch to green
R41: (1 dc in 39 sts, 2 dc) 12 times (492 sts)
Now the fun part of the crochet flower blanket can begin!
R42: (1 dc in 19 sts, ch 6, fdsc around white dc 2 rows down, crochet around the ch 6 the following [1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc], ch 6, fdsc around white dc 2 rows down 1 st over (to the left as a righty), crochet around the ch 6 the following [1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc], 1 ldc to the ldc behind the leaves, 1 dc in 18 sts, ch 6, fdsc around white dc 2 rows down, crochet around the ch 6 the following [1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc], ch 6, fdsc around white dc 2 rows down 1 st over (to the left as a righty), crochet around the ch 6 the following [1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc], 1 ldc to the ldc behind the leaves, 1 dc, 2 dc) 12 times
R43: Now crochet the RED roses above all the leaves (you cut and weave in yarn ends after each rose), attach yarn right between leaves, ch 15, start from 2nd ch from the hook, 3 dc per ch, the wrap the rose in a swirl, then insert your hook through all the layers and pull ONE of the loops of the first dc sts through all the layers (you have 2 loops on your hook now), go through the same st as you initially attached your yarn, pull up a loop (3 loops on your hook), yarn over pull through all 3, add 1 more sc through the same st, then sl st and slip knot and weave in your ends. Crochet red roses above all the leaves from R42 (24 red roses).
R44: (1 sc in 8 sts, ch 5, fdsc around red dc 2 rows down, crochet around the ch 5 the following [1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc], ch 5, fdsc around red dc 2 rows down 1 st over (to the left as a righty), crochet around the ch 5 the following [1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc], 1 sc in 21 sts (that is 9 sts after the red rose), ch 5, fdsc around red dc 2 rows down, crochet around the ch 5 the following [1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc], ch 5, fdsc around red dc 2 rows down 1 st over (to the left as a righty), crochet around the ch 5 the following [1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc], 1 sc until you reach the dc increase from the previous round, 2 sc above the increase) 12 times
