I must say octopus in real life might not be the prettiest and cuddliest creature in the world. Some of the giant octopuses are rather scary-looking. I am not sure whether they would be anyone’s favorite animal. Do you agree with me?

That is why I love the power of a crochet hook and yarn. I love the power we have as crocheters to transform perceptions of certain things. All we need is a bit of soft yarn and our imagination. We have the power to make something that kids will love and adore. In this case, crocheted octopus comes across much more soft and cuddly!

Crochet octopus can also be very useful for premature babies. It has been proven that they find comfort in playing or holding onto the curly tentacles. This reminds them of the familiar umbilical cord.
