Go hands-free with a quick project that will hold your phone up for you. This handy wedge-style crochet phone holder lets you watch videos with ease and it’s perfect for gifting.
We crocheters really put our hands through the wringer sometimes staying up late crocheting and saying “just one more row” over and over again. Isn’t it time we gave our poor hands a break?
This cute little crochet phone holder is just the thing to treat your hardworking hands with. This clever little wedge can prop your phone up to watch videos, view recipes, or reference photos.
Quick and easy projects like this one are great for last-minute gifting. You won’t need very much yarn or time to make one, and you don’t have to be a crochet wizard to make it.
If you can do single crochet stitches and work in the round, then you’re all set to make this crochet pattern (and make your life a little easier while you’re at it!).
Ready to begin? Let’s go!
I have designed a larger Crochet Phone Stand before. It has a little pocket for storage and it’s big enough to use to hold a tablet or a book – not just a phone.
This is a very popular pattern (and for good reason) but sometimes you just need something quick and easy. That’s where this handy dandy little crochet cell phone holder comes in!
Buying someone a phone case or other accessory can be tricky because you need to know if they have an android or an iphone and what model they have. Luckily, this crochet cell phone stand works for all of them.
This is a really easy pattern that’s made with worsted-weight yarn. You can use acrylic yarn, cotton yarn, or whatever you have in your stash really.

Written Instructions for the Crochet Phone Holder
Ch 18
R1: starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per ch, turn 180 degrees, and crochet on the other side of the chain, 1 sc into each ch again (34 sts)
R2-24: 1 sc per st in continuous rounds (you can use a stitch marker to keep track of the rounds if you need to)
Take a little bit of polyfill and push it into the bottom of the pouch (about 4 rounds in volume), then sew across right behind the polyfill to create a ridge, now move 2 rounds over and sew across again such that you create a platform for the phone.
Now stuff the rest of the pouch (do not over stuff). Now fold the last round such that it points upward. Then sew the folded last round together. I used the mattress stitch for this.
