This free crochet pattern is called the Denim Blues Hat and it features the Linked Double Crochet Stitch stitch as well as some very pretty yarn.

The hat is very easy and fast to make. I believe that even a beginner should have no problems crocheting this gorgeous Denim Blues Hat. To make it easier, I even created a full tutorial on how to crochet the Linked Double Crochet Stitch. It shows how to crochet it in the round and in rows.

Furthermore, I tried to provide even more help, by making this pattern as easy as possible, by not adding any slip stitches during the Linked Double Crochet Stitch stitch part of the pattern. Which means it is made with continuous rounds where a simple stitch marker is all you will need.

I truly believe that the easier, but more elegant a pattern is the more it is loved. And believe me, I do love the Linked Double Crochet Stitch. It makes the pattern look like  Tunisian Simple Crochet, but also just like normal Single Crochet stitches with just horizontal bars in between.

Furthermore, I would like to mention that I got the idea for the Denim Blues Hat from a follower of mine who asked me last weekend whether I could create a pattern for her using the Linked Double Crochet Stitch. Well, I started right away because she hit my creative vine. Haha

In addition, I had just gone to Hobby Lobby and found the Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek in Denim Blues which in my opinion seemed perfect for this pattern. I also had picked up some I love this Yarn in the color royal which I used for the ribbed brim.

Also be sure to add this pattern to your Ravelry Favorites by clicking the button below.

In addition, I created a downloadable PDF that has all of the pictures separated from the pattern, so you can choose whether you want to print them or not. This can save you a lot of ink in the long run. You can buy the ad-free, printer-friendly PDF on Ravelry, Etsy, LoveCrafts, and my VIP crochet membership, The Crochet Club.
