Free Reindeer Crochet Pattern – Light Up LED Ornament

Materials you will need

Gauge

3 sts  x 4 rds = 1 square inch (with light inside)

Size

2.5 x 3.5 inches

Stitches used in the pattern (US Terms)

  • st/sts = stitch/stitches
  • ch = chain
  • sk = skip
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • sc = single crochet
  • yo = yarn over
  • inc = increase
  • dec = decrease

Written Reindeer Crochet Pattern

Finish all rounds with a sl st to the first st (non-continuous rounds)

Head

Start with Linen

R1: Magic Ring and add 12 sc, close ring NOT all the way for the light to go through

Start with Goldenrod

R2: *1 sc, 2 sc in the next st, repeat from * until the end of the round (18 sts)

R3-7: 1 sc per st

Fasten off

Sew on the mouth in black and glue on the googly eyes (I used hot glue)

Reindeer Crochet Pattern Continued

2 Ears – with Linen

Ch 4, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sl st, 1 sc in 2 sts

Fasten off and sew to the side of the head

1 RIGHT Antler with Pecan

Ch 8, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in 4 chs, ch 3, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per 2 chs, continue with initial chains made, 1 sc in last 3 chs, fasten off and sew to the right side of the head.

1 LEFT Antler with Pecan

Ch 6, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in 2 chs, ch 5, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per ch, continue with initial chains made, 1 sc in last 3 chs, fasten off and sew to the left side of the head.

Fasten off and weave in ends.
