Materials you will need
- Loops and Threads Demi Purl Super Bulky Yarn
- black
- mango mint (yellow)
- peach cobbler
- cinnamon stick
- vibrant green
- Yarnspirations Bernat Blanket Super Bulky Yarn
- red
- white
- Some spare worsted yarn in black OR the last round’s color of the dumpling for sewing/embroidering
- Polyfill (or XL stress ball or maybe even add a squeaker)
- 6mm hook
- plastic eyes (16mm)
Gauge
5 sts x 4 rds = 2 square inches

- ch = chain
- MR = magic ring
- sc = single crochet
- inc = increase

Pattern notes:
Foundation pattern is the same for ALL, just different colors
For dumplings with different colors I didn’t use continuous rounds, but I used invisible slip stitches instead.
Pumpkin
Use orange (cinnamon stick)
R1: Magic Ring and add 12 sc, close ring, continuous rounds, use a stitch marker
R2: 2 sc per st
R3-6: 1 sc per st
R7-8: *1 sc, ch 1, sk 1, repeat from * all around, then fasten off
Add face, (leather or felt face glued on) and polyfill, BEST TO USE WORSTED YARN (in the same color as the last 2 rounds) and weave through all the chain spaces, pull, knot, weave in ends
Ghost
Start with black
R1: Magic Ring and add 12 sc, close ring, continuous rounds, use a stitch marker
R2: 2 sc per st
R3: 1 sc per st
Change to white
R5-6: 1 sc per st
R7-8: *1 sc, ch 1, sk 1, repeat from * all around, then fasten off
Add face, (plastic eyes and black worsted yarn mouth sewn on) and polyfill, BEST TO USE WORSTED YARN (in the same color as the last 2 rounds) and weave through all the chain spaces, pull, knot, weave in ends
Candy Corn
Start with yellow (mango mint)
R1: Magic Ring and add 12 sc, close ring, continuous rounds, use a stitch marker
R2: 2 sc per st
R3-4: 1 sc per st
Change to orange (cinnamon stick)
R5-6: 1 sc per st
Change to White
R7-8: *1 sc, ch 1, sk 1, repeat from * all around, then fasten off
Add face, (eyes and mouth with black worsted yarn embroidered on) and polyfill, BEST TO USE WORSTED YARN (in the same color as the last 2 rounds) and weave through all the chain spaces, pull, knot, weave in ends
Frankenstein
Start with green
R1: Magic Ring and add 12 sc, close ring, continuous rounds, use a stitch marker
R2: 2 sc per st
R3-6: 1 sc per st
Change to black
R7-8: *1 sc, ch 1, sk 1, repeat from * all around, then fasten off
Add face, (use leftover green to make 2 loops per side as ears, plastic eyes and black worsted yarn for mouth and stitches) and polyfill, BEST TO USE WORSTED YARN (in the same color as the last 2 rounds) and weave through all the chain spaces, pull, knot, weave in ends
Devil
Use red
R1: Magic Ring and add 12 sc, close ring, continuous rounds, use a stitch marker
R2: 2 sc per st
R3-6: 1 sc per st
R7-8: *1 sc, ch 1, sk 1, repeat from * all around, then fasten off
Horns
Use black
Ch 3, 1 sl st in 2nd and 3rd chain
Add face, (sewn on horns, add plastic eyes, black worsted yarn for eyebrows and mouth embroidered on) and polyfill, BEST TO USE WORSTED YARN (in the same color as the last 2 rounds) and weave through all the chain spaces, pull, knot, weave in ends.
Steaming Basket
Use peach cobbler
R1: Magic Ring and add 10 sc, close ring, continuous rounds, use stitch marker
R2: 2 sc per st
R3: *1 sc, 2 sc in the next st, repeat from * until the end of the round
R4: 1 sc in blo in every st
R5-8: 1 sc per st
Steaming Basket Lid
R1: Magic Ring and add 11 sc, close ring, continuous rounds, use stitch marker
R2: 2 sc per st
R3: *1 sc, 2 sc in the next st, repeat from * until the end of the round
R4: 1 sc in blo in every st
R5-7: 1 sc per st
Use leftover yarn from magic ring to create a LOOP as the handle for the lid. Fasten off and weave in ends
