Apache Tears Scarf Instructions:

FIRSTLY, BE SURE TO SEE MY APACHE TEARS STITCH TUTORIAL, IF YOU HAVE NEVER MADE IT BEFORE. YOU CAN FIND IT HERE!

All starting chains are not counted and the first stitch of every round or row goes into the same stitch as the starting chain.

You can make the Apache tears scarf as long or as short as you want. The Scarf is 40 inches long and has 135 stitches across.

As long as you keep the stitches a multiple of 5, you can adjust the pattern easily.

The scarf pattern is made that you will only work from one side to the other. Besides after the chainless foundation chain row, you will never turn your work, but cut your yarn and start over in the front.

I will NOT mention it after every row, just in the beginning, but you will need to do it after every row!

Apache Tears Scarf Finishing Instructions

the stitch pattern of the scarf

Now, you have 2 choices. Firstly, you can weave in ALL the ends.

Secondly, you do a row of single crochets with the color Dublin after the hanging ends to hide them and only weave in some of them to not make the single crochet rows to thick. I chose the second choice.

Now you are done.
