This Crochet Along (CAL) is all about Winter and Christmas patterns and is sponsored by Knit Picks. Usually a Crochet Along is designed to have one pattern broken up into several parts and released such that everyone has enough time to crochet the parts together with other crocheters virtually in a group, such as a Facebook group.
This Crochet Along is now over, BUT you can still find all the free and pdf patterns below!
Well, this Crochet Along will be different, because it will have several patterns that all use the same stitch and combined will be a stylish winter clothing accessory set. We will have 3 patterns during this CAL: a hat, a scarf and a set of mittens.
But I will publish 2 bonus pattern right after using the same stitch and therefore, will fit perfectly into the same set. Those 2 bonus patterns will an infinity scarf and glittens which are a combo of mittens and gloves.
The reason for providing 2 bonus patterns instead and having them part of the CAL, is because a similar or easier version of those patterns will already be part of this CAL.
This CAL includes all FREE patterns, but you can also purchase the pdfs using the links below!
As mentioned before this Crochet Along is sponsored by Knit Picks which I am super grateful for. Please be so kind and go to their Facebook Page and THANK them for sponsoring this CAL for us.
For this Crochet Along, we will use KnitPicks Brava yarn which is very affordable and super soft. I think this will be my go to yarn now as it is so easy to work with. It is 100% acrylic.
So below I have mentioned what you will need for this CAL and when you click on the names, you will be taken to the corresponding website for either KnitPicks to purchase the same yarn that I used (they ship very quick!) or Amazon to buy the additional items I used. The Amazon links are affiliate links and I may get a commission if you chose to make a purchase.
Very importantly, check out my very detailed tutorial for the Apache Tears stitch pattern as we will use this pattern throughout the entire CAL. The tutorial includes many pictures and 2 voice-over videos to show you exactly how to do this stitch flat or in a round.
This Crochet Along is now over. But you can still access the free pattern below or purchase the pdfs for it.
Be sure to join my FACEBOOK GROUP, so you can see other’s making the same patterns as you and we can all help each other out in case someone needs help. It really is a wonderful place to be for any crochet help and support.

You can get the ebook with the 3 CAL patterns, just the bonus patterns or the entire collection in one pdf which would save you some money instead of buying all the patterns separately.

How do you join your CAL? Not seeing the information…I would love to make these for my GD.. Thank you,
Nicole Riley
It is not like a direct “joining”. But it is best to be part of my Facebook group to share pictures and get help and get notified when the next part is available. So, I guess you would join my Facebook group (link above). Then I will share a link to the published pattern on Saturday morning. Let me know if you have more questions and need more help.
