This collection of 10 crochet glove patterns ranges from warm winter gloves to moisturizing spa gloves to delicate lacy gloves.
Crochet glove patterns are few and far between compared to their knit counterparts. In fact, any place that sells gloves (Walmart, Target) only sells the machine-knit gloves. Crochet gloves are almost unheard of. Crochet mittens? Yes. Crochet fingerless gloves? Yes. But crochet gloves… With the fingers? Not so much.
To be honest I’m not sure why crochet gloves aren’t more popular! Crochet stitches are naturally bulkier and thicker than knit stitches making them almost bulletproof to have on the coldest of winter days. I am assuming that knit gloves are more popular simply because machine knitting goes so much quicker than trying to hand crochet all the individual fingers for a pair of gloves.

10 Free Crochet Glove Patterns
Most of these crochet glove patterns are made using fingering or sport-weight yarn. Again, crochet stitches are bulkier than stitches, so a thinner-weight yarn is necessary in most cases. You could use a heavier-weight yarn, but just be careful because it might make your gloves TOO bulky.
In this blog post, I have put together a wide range of 10 crochet glove patterns to choose from.
Whether you’re looking for something to keep you warm, or maybe you’re looking for something delicate and lacey… Or maybe you even want to make spa gloves for holiday gifts… No matter what you’re looking for, I’ve got you covered 🙂
Flying Hearts Crochet Gloves
If you prefer the look of knit gloves over crochet gloves then you’re in luck.
This crochet gloves pattern is made using the waistcoat stitch using two different colors of yarn. Since the waistcoat stitch looks like little V’s, when you make a single stitch using a different colored yarn, it resembles a heart – hence the name, Flying Hearts.
Although some crocheters are now saying they look like french fries inside a McDonald’s box. lol What do you think?

Cozy Striped Winter Mitts
These gloves are made using Bernat Baby Blanket Tiny yarn for an extra cozy and warm feel to them.
This is considered an advanced pattern, however, the instructions given are very clear with lots of photo tutorials to walk you through it.

Jersey Crochet Gloves
These gloves are made using Cascade 220-fingering weight yarn. While this pattern is written to fit a woman’s size small, simply using a slightly larger hook or heavier weight yarn will result in a larger size if needed.
There is also a sister pattern to this called Jersey Mitts which features partial fingers. So if you’re looking for a fingerless gloves pattern, this is a great one.

Moisturizing Spa Crochet Mitts
Make these moisturizing spa gloves as gifts for all your family and friends this holiday season!
I love the idea of these moisturizing gloves! Especially during the winter when my skin tends to dry out and become rough.
You will make these gloves with cotton yarn and to use them, you will simply lotion up your hands and sleep with these on! I think this is brilliant and I’m definitely going to try it this winter.

Texting gloves…need I say more? These beautiful crochet gloves come with a little detachable finger option so you can still snap photos for social media or send a quick text…in today’s day and age, that’s almost a necessity, right??
Both the thumbs and index fingers are designed to flip back and are attached with a little button to keep them secure. What a great teen gift these would make!

Easy Fit Crochet Gloves
This crochet gloves pattern is rather simple (well, as simple as crochet gloves can be). These would be considered a basic pair of gloves – no frills, no fancy stitches – just a straightforward pair of gloves.
This free pattern comes with video tutorials to help you learn some of the foundation stitches needed to make these gloves. This is an intermediate-level crochet pattern.

Basic Crochet Gloves
You will make these gloves using sport-weight yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook. What really stood out to me about this pattern, is that in addition to several photo tutorials, the designer also gives diagrams of how to attach the fingers to the gloves. This is a very helpful addition, especially for those who are new to glove-making.

Crochet Harry Styles Gloves
The designer of these beautiful crochet gloves was inspired by a pair of Gucci gloves worn by Harry Styles. Personally, I think she nailed this design!
These delicate, lacy gloves come with a ribbon detail and I just think they’re stunning. If you’re wanting to add a dainty detail to your outfit, these gloves will be perfect.
