Free Crochet Frog Pig Magic Wallet Pattern
Materials you will need
- Premier Anti-Pilling Everyday Yarn (100g) – worsted (#4) yarn
- Pink
- Green
- White
- 3.5 mm hook
- scissors
- tapestry needle
- plastic canvas
- optional: 2 Flex Frame Kiss Clasp (9cm)
Gauge
4 sts x 4 rows = 1 square inch
Size
7 x 3.5 inches
Stitches used in the pattern
Learn all the basic crochet stitches HERE (US crochet terms and abbreviations)
- st/sts = stitch/stitches
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- MR = magic ring
Live Video Tutorial

Instructions
Piggy side
2 eyes in black:
R1: MR, 6 sc
R2: 2 sc per st
R3: (1 sc, 2 sc) x 6
2 pupils in white:
R1: MR, 6 sc, close the ring, sl st
Sew pupils to eyes on the edge, sew to face
Nose in pink:
R1: ch 5, start from 2nd ch from the hook, 3 sc, 1 sc in 2 sts, 3 sc, turn 180 degrees and work on other side of the chain, 1 sc in 2 sts, sl st to the first st
R2: *(2 sc) 3 times, 1 sc in 2 sts, repeat from * one more time, sl st
R3: *(1 sc, 2 sc) 3 times, 1 sc in 2 sts, repeat from * one more time, sl st
R4: 1 sc per st, sl st
Add nostrils (black) to nose, sew to face (optionally add polyfill)
2 ears (in pink):
R1: MR, 6 sc
R2: (1 sc, 2 sc) x 3
R3: (1 sc in 2 sts, 2 sc) x 3
R4: (1 sc in 3 sts, 2 sc) x 3
Sew ears to the to of the face/head
Froggy side
2 Eye extensions (in green):
R1: MR, 6 sc
R2: 2 sc x 6
R3: (1 sc, 2 sc) x 6
R4-5: 1 sc per st
Make flat and sew to the top of the face
2 Eyes (in white):
R1: MR, 6 sc
R2: 2 sc per st
R3: (1 sc, 2 sc) x 6
2 Pupils in black:
R1: MR, 6 sc
R2: 2 sc per st
Sew pupils to eyes on the edge, sew to face, over the eye extensions
2 cheeks in pink:
R1: MR, 6 sc
R2: 2 sc per st
Sew cheeks to face and also sew on a mouth (in black)
Magic Wallet
Make 2 of the same size pockets (one in green and one in pink) – make sure they have the same measurements!
R1: ch 17, start from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per st, turn 180 degrees and crochet into the other side of the chain, 1 sc per st (32 sts),
Now go in continuous rounds (use stitch marker)
R2: 1 sc per st
Repeat R2 until you have 7.75 inches in height
Put the clasp inside and fold over about 3 rounds then sew inside fold to outside fabric (from the inside)
Cut a plastic canvas piece that fits on the inside and push it in (creates stability)
If you don’t want to use the clasp, make the pocket 7 inches in height, add plastic canvas on the inside and sew the ends closed.
Crochet 2 straps (in white): ch 3, start from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per st, turn, 1 sc per st, turn (repeat until you have 4.3 inches)
Crochet 2 straps (in white): ch 3, start from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per st, turn, 1 sc per st, turn (repeat until you have 3.5 inches)
