Materials you will need
- Red Heart Super Saver (worsted acrylic, 198g/364yd)
- Spring green
- Soft navy
- White
- WeCrochet Brava Yarn (Worsted Weight, 100% Acrylic, 218yd/100g)
- Yellow
- Red
- Premier Minikins Yarn (50g) – fine (#2) yarn
- Black (1 skein)
- White(1 skein)
- 3.00 mm hook for soccer ball
- 4.5 mm hook for game board
- Scissors
- tapestry needle
- Polyfill Stuffing
- Hot glue
- 22 Gauge Wire and Pliers
- School Glue

4 sts x 4 rows = 1 square inch

10 x 13 inches
Stitches used in the pattern
Learn all the basic crochet stitches HERE (US crochet terms and abbreviations)
- MR = magic ring
- sc = single crochet
- sts = stitches
- ch = chain
- inc = increase

Instructions
Soccer Field
Ch 36, start from the 2nd ch from the hook
R1-51: 1 sc per st
Crochet until R51 or until 13 inches, fasten off, weave in ends
R52: with soft navy, 1 sc per st, sl st
Repeat R52 until 1 inch in height for the wall
Last Round: with wire, crochet 1 sc per st in white, sl st
The wire allows you to make sure to walls stay “rectangular”.
Use white yarn and the backstitch to create the white lines and the white circle.
2 Goals
In white yarn
Ch 16, start from the 2nd ch from the hook
(first dc is made as ATC or ch 3)
R1-7: *1 dc, sk 1, ch 1, repeat from * until the end, finish with 1 dc, turn
Now, crochet on the 2 sides to create a T. Crochet one extension at the time, like this:
R1: (1 dc, sk 1, ch 1) x 3 times, 1 dc, turn (dc’s are placed on top of each row)
R2-4: *1 dc, sk 1, ch 1, repeat from *, 1 dc, turn
Fasten off.
Now fold the sides downwards, and sew the touching sides together such that it creates a goal.
I added a glue water mixture (10:1) over the goals and propped them up (I used a small baking dish for that) to let them dry overnight.
Then sew or hot glue the goals to the field.
“Finger” Shoes
Brava yellow or red (but you can use other colors too) – 2 per color/team
R1: MR, 6 sc, close the ring, continuous rounds
R2: (1 sc, 2 sc) x 3
R3-6: 1 sc per st
R7: 1 sc in 6 sts, turn
R8-9: 1 sc in 6 sts, turn
R10: crochet in rounds again, around the top opening all around, 1 sc in 10 sts
R11: 1 sc per st, fasten off and sew together the small gap above the heel.
Then add the shoelaces in white.
Soccer Ball
Make 20 White Hexagons
Make a Magic Ring/Circle, ch 1, add [1 sc, ch 1] 6 times, connect the first and last stitch together via a inv join or a slip stitch, cut the yarn, knot the beginning and end of the yarn together and cut the end pieces to about 1 inch
Make 12 Black Pentagons
Make a Magic Ring/Circle, ch 1, add [1 sc, ch 1] 5 times, connect the first and last stitch together via a inv join or a slip stitch, cut the yarn, knot the beginning and end of the yarn together and cut the end pieces to about 1 inch
Assembly
Sew the hexagons and pentagons together like the image above shows. Remember you will always have 5 hexagons around 1 pentagon, and no pentagons touch each other
Once you have 1 pentagon left to sew on, stuff the ball with polyfill
