Striped Pumpkin – Free Crochet Pattern

Creating Pumpkins is not only easy but fun. The creativity and inspiration for how a pumpkin looks, can be endless. This Striped Pumpkin is a free crochet pattern that was inspired by my recently published Spiral Pumpkin. In order to crochet the Striped Pumpkin you simply need one specific skein of yarn and a few extra items.
The Striped Pumpkin’s striped yarn color combination is made with the variegated yarn from Michael’s stores called Loops & Threads Facet Stones. I used the color Red Coral which gave the Striped Pumpkin a rustic, but unique look.
Furthermore, instead of adding a crocheted or real stem to the top of the pumpkin, I used pipe cleaners in 3 different colors, 2 in green and 1 in brown.
Now, before I show you the materials and the actual free crochet pattern, please also be sure to add this pattern to your Ravelry Favorites by clicking the button below as that allows my pattern being shown to more people who might want to see it and also want to make it.

Using a tapestry needle sew the hole close (watch my video how I do it). Use the left over yarn and sew the indents all around the pumpkin.
Finally, use the pipe cleaners to create a stem and leave as shown below. For the leave, I simply wrapped one green colored pipe cleaner around another green colored folded pipe cleaner.
Now you are finished with the Striped Pumpkin and can use it as fall decor, gift it or sell it. If you love the pattern as much as I do, please use the social media share buttons above or below and share this pattern link with the world and your friends. Thank you.
