Pattern Notes
You can crochet this pattern in rounds, but not started with a foundation row (pouch bottom), however, you could start with one so you won’t have to sew the bottom together later. Keep in mind, this pattern used to be part of a Mystery CAL so it includes 3 video tutorials, each of them guiding you through each section of the pattern.

If you are finishing it like me (as a pencil/hook pouch), then do the following:
Sew the bottom closed using the mattress stitch (click for tutorial). Then sew the zipper to the top (click for tutorial).
But remember (mentioned in the video), you can also finish it like a bag (stop at round 22, repeat rounds 3-22, and finish with round 23). That can also be turned into a pillow, a basket, or anything else you might like. Let your imagination go wild. How will YOU finish this pattern?
