Instructions:
Make sure to watch the video for Hairpin Lace first. Using the Clover Hairpin Lace tool, put 2 pins into position 8 and 8(pins are 8cm apart). Then crochet 26 panels each with 200 loops on each side. Before removing the loops from the stick, make sure to add a spare yarn piece through to secure them from twisting.
Each panel has loops on 2 sides. Take 1 side per panel and connect them like this: Insert your hook through 4 loops from one panel, then go to the other panels loops and grab 4 loops and pull them through the first 4 loops, then go back to the first panel and grab the next 4 loops and pull them through the 4 loops on your hook, repeat until all loops are worked up. Secure at the end. Weave in ends. Do this for all 26 panels.
Now you have the outsider side’s loops left. Connect a new yarn on one of the loops, **then grab 4 loop at the time and crochet 4 sc, ch 2, then go to the next loop and repeat until the end of the side, fasten off. Now repeat from ** on the other side where the loops haven’t been worked on yet.
Fold in half (parallel to the loops) and on the short sides, sew up from the corners towards the fold until you have a hole of about 7.5 inches (or more or less depending on your arms).
Fasten off and weave in ends.
