First, you’ll start by crocheting the keychain cozy in the round. Next, you’ll crochet the strap and lastly, you’ll add the snap and sew it together.
Instructions for the Keychain Cozy Holder
Ch 20, sl st 1st and last st to make a loop (now crocheting in continuous rounds)
R1: 1 sc per ch (20 sts)
R2 – 15: *[1sc, 1 dc] in the same st, sk 1 st, repeat from *
R1: Ch 5, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per st, turn (4 sts)
R2: 1 sc per st, turn
Repeat R2 until it’s about 6 inches long, fold one short edge over, add a key ring and sew the short edge to the rectangle itself to make a loop
Add a snap on the opposite side, and the corresponding closure to the main cozy towards the top of the last rounds crocheted.
Now sew the bottom of the cozy (R1) together but leave a small tight opening to pull the keychain strap through, but not that it can fall out.
Fasten off and weave in your ends.
