This free crochet pattern is for a C2C Puzzle Crochet Blanket. A full video tutorial is given for the C2C crochet technique.
A friend of mine recently had a baby and I wanted to crochet something for her that she could use right away as well as down the road as her child gets older. So I got to work and crocheted this fun and brightly colored puzzle blanket.
In my opinion, you can never have too many blankets. And as the baby gets older, this crochet puzzle blanket can be used as a play mat!
This crochet puzzle C2C blanket pattern is relatively easy compared to some of the more intricate C2C crochet patterns out there. If you’re new to crocheting with colors in C2C, then this is a great C2C crochet pattern to start with.

- WeCrochet “Brava” Yarn (1 skein/ 100g/ 218yd) in the colors:
- Grass (1 skein) – green (g)
- Celestial (2 skeins) – blue (b)
- Canary (1 skein) – yellow (y)
- Red (1 skein) (r)
- White (1 skein) (w)
- 5.5mm hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Steamer for blocking
- Foam boards for blocking
Gauge
4 dc C2C pixels x 4 dc C2C pixel = 3 square inches
Size
30 x 30 inches

Changing color in C2C
All things considered, changing color in C2C doesn’t have to be hard! As I have said, this particular design is a good one to start with as the color changes aren’t too complex.

Add the border:
R1: crochet single crochet stitches evenly around the edge, adding 3 sc per corner, sl st to the first st
R2: 1 dc per st, and 3 dc in each corner, sl st to the first st
Fasten off and weave in your ends. Then block your blanket.
