I’m always on the hunt for fun and new crochet stitches for my crochet projects. While the waffle stitch may not be a new stitch, it’s one that I never get tired of.
I really love the waffle stitch for a few reasons:
- For one, you don’t need to be a seasoned crocheter to make this stitch. This is one of those gold standard stitches that looks complicated but is actually surprisingly easy to master.
- Second, it provides lots of nice texture making this the perfect stitch to use for warm projects like blankets and sweaters.
- Lastly, the thick and textured nature of this stitch pattern makes it very sturdy so it’s great for all sorts of projects from dish cloths to socks to bags and beyond.
