How to Crochet an Egg Popping Chicken – Free Pattern
This post includes affiliate links.
This free crochet pattern is called the Egg Popping Chicken. And as the name suggests it is literally a small chicken that can pop out an egg when you squeeze it.
Have you ever scrolled through social media and suddenly found one video that made you stop scrolling? Well, that happened to me when I was recently inspired by an Instagram video of a knitted chicken that had an egg pop out. It was cute, simple and so eye-catching. But it was knitted. I took it upon myself to create a crochet version. The result? A cute and hilarious Egg Popping Chicken as a free crochet pattern.
You will need a small amount of yarn (in different colors) and some other materials listed below. I made my chicken and its nest in under 40 Minutes.
Furthermore, I decided to create a full video tutorial on the chicken to make it easier for everyone. As the nest is extremely easy to make, I did not show how to make it in the video. But the instructions for it can be found below as well.
So, let’s prepare for Easter and make lots of Chickens that pop out eggs. By the way, this adorable Egg Popping Chicken can also be used as an ideal egg warmer for morning breakfasts.
