Most pouches are made for women. But this small snowflake zipper pouch can also work great for men. The barely yarn color makes it ideal also for men. The white snowflake provides an extra cute wintery flare that makes it a wonderful gift for the Holiday season. This pattern is the 15th free crochet pattern of the Advent Calendar Mystery Crochet Along.
This handy gift pattern is the 15th pattern (December 15th) of the 24 patterns. It features a zipper that is easily sewn on by hand or with a sewing machine. It also has a beautiful and festive and wintery snowflake on the front which is crocheted on using surface crochet. Optionally, you could add a lining before adding the zipper to make sure your pouch lasts a long time.
This pattern as all the patterns in this Advent Calendar Mystery Crochet Along comes with a video tutorial to guide you through the pattern. This pattern’s yarn is Vanna’s Choice and was provided by Lion Brand Yarns.

Pattern Notes
First, you’ll start by crocheting the pouch working in the round. Next, you’ll add the snowflake using surface crochet and you’ll finish the pouch by adding the zipper.
Instructions for the Snowflake Zipper Pouch
Chain 25
R1: starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per ch (24 sts)
You’re now crocheting in rounds around the row you just made, in continuous rounds (see the video tutorial to show this in more detail).
R1-15: 1 hdc in the blo per st, all around (48 sts)
Now crochet your snowflake to one of both of the sides using surface crochet stitches.
Then sew on your zipper with dark thread.
Optional: add a lining to the zipper before sewing the zipper to the crocheted pouch.
Fasten off and weave in your ends.
