This is a free crochet along pattern for creating the Granny’s Flower Garden Blanket. This pattern is divided into four parts that can be found below.
“Mind the flowers,” granny reminded me for the zillionth time as we stepped through her garden. And her garden had it all: foxgloves, carnations, lilies, gladiolus, begonias, poppies, roses, petunias, and some long, purple, fuzzy flowers that I didn’t know the name of just to name a few.
“How far does it go?” I asked again. I literally could not see the end of this field. Just how much land did granny own anyway?
She smiled her warm knowing smile. “As far as you like it to, dear. That’s the advantage of the dreamscape.”
If you want a warm blanket to snuggle into, try this crochet along. The crochet along is over, but the pattern is still available for free.
This free crochet along features the Granny’s Flower Garden Blanket. It is a free crochet pattern that will be available in parts so we can crochet along together. And it comes with a fantastic giveaway. Keep reading to find out more.
Believe it or not, but this blanket has been in the works for a lot longer than I want to admit. But that makes the experience of finishing it even more exciting and delightful.
Be sure to read the entire page as it will provide you with all the information about to be part of the Crochet Along as well as how to win an Organizer.
In order to make sure everyone will have the best experience possible, I decided to create a video tutorial for every part of the blanket. That includes the part where I show you how to block the squares which are acrylic yarn.
For that, I will you exactly how I did it with my steamer as well as the new BlockAll 812 Chetnanigans board with the perfector strips. Just wait until you see how it is done. These boards are pretty amazing and they are all handmade. As I have used other blocking accessories and tools before, I can promise you that there are no other ones like it.
Speaking of Chetnanigans, I was in contact with the founders and owners of Chetnanigans and they decided to sponsor a giveaway for this Crochet Along. The winning price is a Chetnanigans Hook Organizer. I wrote a very detailed review about a couple of their organizers HERE.
How to win a Chetnanigans Organizer
In order to win a Chetnanigans organizer (shown on the left above), you must participate and share your WIPS and final image in my Facebook group. Furthermore, you also must also add the pattern to your Ravelry Favorites list, as well as into your queue and post your pictures there. Also, you will need to make a blanket using this pattern of at least 30 squares. It can be bigger if you like but does not need to be to qualify. Once the Crochet Along is over, I will determine by random who wins the organizer on May 5th.

You will have 1.5 weeks to get all your items together. We will start on April 7th when the first part will be released. You will then have one week to finish part 1 before part 2 will be released. The same then goes for part 2, 3 and 4.

However, if you do not want to wait for all the parts to be released you can easily purchase the pdf for this pattern with all the parts included in one file.
In addition, I created a downloadable pdf for you all, that has all the pictures as references added to the back of the pattern. So you can choose whether you want to print them or not. That can save you a lot of ink in the long run.
