This is a free cute and sturdy wristlet purse crochet made with the thermal crochet stitch to prevent needing a lining. This is a great beginner pattern to learn the Thermal Crochet Stitch technique.
Thermal Crochet can be difficult at first because the technique requires you to think a bit differently when crocheting in rows or rounds. But once you understand how to crochet thermal crochet patterns you can make any Thermal Crochet pattern you ever dreamed of.
This Wristlet Purse is actually much easier than you might think. You could even turn it into a crossover body purse if you like. The pattern includes a few video tutorials as it’s broken up into many pieces as it used to be part of a mystery crochet along.

Wristlet Crochet Purse Assembly
If you want to use a zipper now is the time to add one. It will be for the middle pocket of the 3.
Add the zipper (I used a sewing machine, but you can also do this by hand) between the rectangle and the square. This step is optional. You don’t need to add a zipper if you don’t wish to do so.
Now, fold the square in half towards the zipper. The folded area is close to the zipper of the rectangle in the same way. You’ll have a left area from the rectangle. That is the pouch flap.
The folded pockets look like a W from the side where the fold is.
Now sew the folds together on the left and right. Then also sew the bottom 2 folds together. Now you have 3 pockets with a flap.
Fold the small rectangle in half and sew it to the side of the 3-pocket pouch to turn it into a wristlet.
Optionally you could make the tiny rectangle a lot longer and turn the small 3-pocket pouch into a shoulder purse.
Now add a closure for the flap. It can be a button and a small loop. But I chose to hot glue a magnet to mine.
Since the thermal stitch is a thick stitch you will not need any lining for the wristlet pouch with 3 pockets. Nothing will fall out. Enjoy
