    30 Minute Hand Beanie by Nicki's Homemade Crafts - Free Crochet Pattern #freecrochetpattern #crochet #beanie #hat #quick #easy

This free crochet pattern is called the 30 Minute Hand Beanie. It shows you how to crochet a beanie easily with simply your hands and no additional tools in lass than 30 minutes.

Have you ever been in a situation where you brought your yarn with you to work on a project you thought about, and you sit down to start and then you realize that you forgot your hook? Well, that happened to me recently. I had my bulky yarn with me, wanted to work on a hat and had no hook.

So, I decided to try to finger crochet by simply just using the fingers on my hand instead of being impatient and wait until I get home to find my hook in my messy craft corner where it properly got lost between a million other things.

After sitting at my appointment waiting to be called, I starting crocheting my beanie – using my hands.  So I did it and could not believe it, but I made it in under 30 Minutes which is why I call this free crochet pattern the 30 Minute Hand Beanie.

Seriously, it only took me 30 minutes to create this awesome beanie. And it is easy to make. Even a beginner can make this as it only uses single crochets.

To make it even easier I created a full video tutorial showing every step on how to this beanie in under 30 minutes. You simply need one skein of bulky yarn and your hands.

I can’t believe I have never tried this before. But now I know what to make for my friends and family members for Christmas. The 30 Minute Hand Beanie is super cozy and makes a perfect fit for a teen or adult size head.

And yes, it is a bit loose, but that is what you achieve when you make a beanie using just your hands. But because you only use single crochets the holes are not big and still provide plenty of warmth.

In fact, my son really likes the red one I made and now wants to wear it all the time. If you saw my Facebook video of this beanie, you properly saw how I tickled him while wearing the 30 Minute Hand Beanie.

Now, one important aspect to keep in mind, is that everyone has different sized hands. Therefore, your beanie will probably look different than mine. Comparing my fingers with a hook, they are properly about the same as a size 12mm hook (no guarantee though).

So, if you do not feel like making this beanie with your hands, try a hook size that provides with the same gauge as mine. Also, if you would like to make this beanie for a different size head, be sure to check out my video as well as this very detailed guide on how to adjust any beanie pattern.
