Summary of Episode 2 with Jessica
Jessica revealed the secret behind her blog name and dove deeper into the meaning behind the name. She is a crafty person and started out dabbling in yarn crafts – crochet as well as knitting.
Lucky for us, crochet prevailed and now she designs beautiful and fun crochet patterns. Stitching Together is all about the community she has been building over the past few years.
She reveals what else keeps her busy at home and how she incorporates crochet into her everyday life.
Are you curious which yarn fiber is her favorite? She uses it a lot for items like kitchen dishcloths, towels, and more! But her absolute favorite is a little project she always keeps on her desk. Have you guessed what it might be?
Jessica also reveals how many WIPs she might have and what she found at the bottom of the closet that she completely forgot about!
I asked Jessica what her crochet pet peeve was and although she could not think of one off the top of her head, I think she come up with one that would annoy 99% of crocheters!
Jessica’s background is in science, but when I asked her what she would do if she did not crochet for a job, I was taken aback when she revealed what she was up to with her friend! I can not wait to hear more from her.
She revealed which crochet moment always makes her smile and how her mum taught her to crochet. Although Jessica is crocheter herself, she used to tease her mum about her “old lady craft”.
I asked Jessica about accidental designs and she revealed how running out of yarn created one of her greatest projects. And an epic fail of a project which became a bit of a fire hazard.
Jessica’s kids are starting to show a little more interest in her yarn stash and want to learn to crochet. However, her daughter is left-handed so Jessica ended up learning to crochet from scratch again using her left hand.

Jessica showed off an amazing Heart Crochet Tea Towel topper pattern. It is an easy project that works up really quickly.
I thought it was a really clever and cute idea.
These easy heart tea towel crochet toppers are a fun way to add some cute decorations to your kitchen. They’ll look adorable in any color to match your existing decor.
When you don’t have time to crochet an entire set of tea towels from scratch, but need a quick housewarming or holiday gift. A set of these cute and practical tea towels with the crochet hanger sewn on works great.
These towel toppers can be used on any towels that you would like to hang securely without having to worry about buttons or toggles. Since they are sewn right onto the towel, they won’t get lost or misplaced and will always be ready to use.
