Pattern Notes
This hook holder roll is made in three parts. First, you’ll crochet the main part of the hook holder, then you’ll crochet the flap and lastly, you’ll crochet the pockets. To finish, you’ll sew everything together.
Instructions for the Hook Holder Roll:
For the back of the Hook Holder Roll + closure string
Use Colonial Blue
R1: Ch 29, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per st, turn (28sts)
R2: ch 2, 1 ldc in each st, turn
R3: 1 sc per st, turn
Repeat R2 and R3 12 more times, slip stitch to the center, ch 51, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per st, and continue slip stitching to the end of the row
For the Crochet Hook Flap:
R1: Ch 6, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per st, turn (5sts)
R2: ch 2, 1 ldc in each st, turn
R3: 1 sc per st, turn
Repeat R2 and R3 12 more times
For the Crochet Hook Holder Pockets
Use Silver Blue for the pockets
R1: ch 15, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc per st, turn (14sts)
R2-33: 1 sc per sts, turn
R34: 1 sc in the next 7 sts, turn
R35-42: 1 sc per sts, turn
Now sew the pocket from left to right to the colonial blue. Make the pockets as big as you need them according to your hook size. I have 10 hook pockets, plus the pocket for the scissors.
