Textured Fall Poncho – Free Crochet Pattern

This Crochet Pattern is called the Textured Fall Poncho. It’s a free crochet pattern. It comes in sizes XS through 4XL. It shows off the lacy granny stitch and modified sedge stitch with 3 beautiful buttons.
So often we go to an event that is held outside and we want to dress up without being overdressed. Plus, it might not be super cold yet, but also not warm anymore. What will you wear?
I feel like the Poncho is the perfect garment to wear to show off a beautiful design, being dressed stylishly without being the focal point of the occasion. Although, you might actually make many people say “Oh wow”. 🙂
This pattern was made in partnership with LoveCrafts who graciously provided the beautiful and soft yarn called The Yarn Collective Hudson Worsted.

Instructions for the Texture Fall Poncho:
The stitch counts for the different sizes are given in this order XS/S (M/L, XL/2XL, 3XL/4XL). Ch 3 counts as stitch. Ch 1 does not count as a stitch.
Ch 153 (183, 198, 213)
R1: starting from the 4th ch from the hook: 1 dc in the next 2 sts, ch 2, skip 3 [1dc in the next 3 sts, ch2, skip 3], repeat [] till the last st, 1 dc, turn
R2-10: Ch 3, 2 dc in the ch space, skip 3 [ch2, 3 dc in the chain space, skip 3], repeat [] till last st, 1 dc, turn
Now you will start with the modified sedge stitch.
R1: Ch 1, *[1sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr] in the same stitch, sk 3 sts, repeat from * until the end, 1 sc in the last st
R2: Ch 1, *[1sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr] in the same stitch into each single crochet stitch, repeat from * until the end, 1 sc in the last st
Repeat R2 for a total of 51 (55, 59, 63) rows of the modified sedge stitch.
Once finished, fold the long side of the rectangle in half. And then sew on the buttons according to the graphics (from the inside of the folded rectangle). The buttons are both functional and for beauty. The buttons can now be pushed through the holes of the other side of the folded rectangle.
It’s ready to be worn now 🙂 Enjoy
