Summary of Episode 19 with Sarah
Sarah has always been crafty even as a kid, she studied visual arts at college and worked as a graphic designer.
But you would not guess which popular crochet item sparked her imagination and wanting to learn to crochet!
She grabbed yarn, and hooks and took to YouTube t learn how to crochet.
I was happy to learn that we both enjoy adding a few little extras to crochet projects and thinking outside the box.
Sarah shared a funny story about how she come up with her fun business name and I love the play on words she used.
Craving a spot where she can share her makes, recipes, and ideas, Sarah started a website. It was not long until the crochet side of her website took off and she has never looked back.
Sarah evolved from making baby items into amigurumi, toys, and corner to corner designs and she was even branded queen of “cute crochet”.
We talked a little about Sarah’s c2c graph designs and she shared where she gets her inspiration from and how she designs her graphs.
I love the project Sarah is running at the moment where she shares a design of a cute gnome each month. It is also accompanied by a polymer crochet hook design especially made.
We spoke about how the crochet business has changed over the years and how Sarah makes time to crochet all her cute projects to keep up with the demand.
Sarah’s daughter Zoe loves to get involved with her crochet business and loves modeling and showing off her mum’s crafts.
Sarah is also a published author and you have to watch the video and see how two copies of a book become one by magic!
And we were the first ones to learn about something exciting that is on the horizon and it might just be another book by Sarah!!! She could not share too much info but she shared a crochet along that will be happening very soon!
Grab your crochet project, and crochet while you listen to the entire episode 18 on Youtube.
