Crocheters, just like everyone, like to make New Year’s Resolutions, aka Yarn Resolutions. However, most abandon their resolutions quickly after. It’s better to create and have Smart Goals.

As the end of the year is approaching faster and faster, many start making New Year’s Yarn Resolutions. Especially after over-eating and creating and overspending on gifts for others. As soon as the new year starts, we need to focus only on ourselves and do some self-care.

I’ve done this. Year after year. And shortly after, usually within a few days or weeks, I fell back into my old habits and abandoned my New Year’s Resolution. But once I started my own business, something changed for me, especially mentally.

Yarn Resolutions for Crocheters are Smart Goals

I wanted to create goals, not yarn resolutions. To track them and actually reach them. I cared more about others while taking care of myself at the same time. All in all, I became a better person.

I believe anything is possible, if you put pen to paper, make goals, and have this list in front of you every single day. The more often you see it, the easier and faster you reach your goals.

Crochet Goals and Yarn Resolutions

As a crocheter, I make goals too. Yes, I have design goals as well. But I also have crochet goals. For example, I have never crocheted broomstick crochet and I really want to learn it. I also want to reach more and more crocheters every month year to make a positive impact in their lives. If they can see how crochet is not just physical but also has a huge mental impact, they can create a more meaningful life for themselves.

To make it even more interesting, I decided to ask crocheters in my Crochet Group what New Years Resolutions they have. I personally believe all of these can be made into goals and that they can and will reach them. I believe in that very much.

  1. Hi Nicole! Thanks for the e-book but I do have a question. Since I’m already on your mailing list, isn’t there an option to download the e-book without having to “subscribe” again? Did I miss it? (wouldn’t be the first time I missed something right in front of my face!!)

  2. I started crocheting with friends and found it to be a good way to get something done for charity and to socialize! Then I got cancer. Crochet helped to save me from the bad feelings of Chemo and on through surgery. My sister was with me and wanted to learn, so we became yarn hoarders! I’m well over all that I went through, but I believe that this download will help to bring a better perspective on what I’m trying to do! My resolution every year is to not smoke, one I’ve made for the last 30 years. I’ve overcome some serious things; I think I will resolve these easier obstacles in a better way!

  3. Thank you so much for the free e-books! I look forward to getting them & learning how to turn my projects into something profitable.
