Free Crochet Poinsettia Coaster Set – Day 18 of the Advent Calendar MCAL 2024
This post includes affiliate links.
This pretty crochet poinsettia flower pattern holds a surprise inside. You can pull the layers of petals and leaves out of the pot to use them as drink coasters.
It’s day 18 of the Advent Calendar Mystery Crochet Along. You probably already know that this is the fun and festive event where I release one stitch tutorial on all odd days and one free pattern on all even days for Christmas gifts right here on my blog. Each day is a fun holiday surprise for yarn lovers!
Today’s free pattern is for a Crochet Poinsettia Coaster Set that looks just as cute in its little pot as it does with the petals and leaves spread across the table to use as drink coasters. It’s sure to really add that something special to your Christmas table. The pattern uses the linked half double crochet stitch that we learned about yesterday.
This is a fun and fast crochet flower coaster pattern that’s perfect for using up small amounts of scrap yarn leftover from other projects. Make a set for yourself or make a set for a friend! This Crochet Poinsettia Coaster Set would make a great hostess gift, especially for someone who loves poinsettias.
For this Christmas coaster design, I used a budget-friendly acrylic yarn, but you could opt to use cotton yarn if you are going to use your coasters for very hot beverages.
So let’s get started!
